He planted many of the still existing windbreaks in southern Kansas during those years. Our Christmas trees were always fresh cut and smelled wonderful. Sweet memories…..

THOSE WHO PASS US BY: She paused to watch while they passed her by. She wondered where they were headed and she wished she could go,.
Some said she was only a crow. Deep down inside she knew she was so much more because she had a beautiful heart!

SEASONS/Today is the day to let go and see all things beautiful.
The world needed peace but delivering it was harder said than done.

SHE WALKED AWAY: When life got too complicated she knew she needed to find a new direction. So she did.

THE OLD ONE
As he contemplated, he thought he had lived his life quite well. Truth be known, he only stole a few chickens now and then… and only if he was really hungry!
NIGHT CROSSING: She walked by the light of the moon and in a fleeting moment she knew…she just knew.
ON HER WAY
She was thrilled to be among the chosen. She carefully put on her Sunday dress, her new red tights and waited for the gate to open.
INTO THE LIGHT
And then there was light and he saw the birds fly away.
Somehow her wings had gotten a bit untidy. But, then again, she did have a awfully lot to do in a world that was pretty much in a flux!

THE RED PONY
He knew he was the only red pony that roamed the plains. Sometime he liked being different but other times it was a little lonely.
THE YELLOW HORSE
She knew the road wouldn’t always be easy. But it was her road and she made it count!
FRIENDS 2: They had been together for a very long time. They took care of each other in the best possible way.
When she saw the speckled one she knew he was hers, but she would have to leave her comfort and take a risk…
He thought it might happen, but when it did, he was surprised!
UP AGAINST THE WALL: He was not sure of his next move. His livelihood was on the line but so was his character.
SHE WAS DIFFERENT; Actually, she liked being different. Once in a while, some of the mean horses noticed. When they did, she just turned her head and trotted away!
One day, he decided he would run with the wild ones. But, when the moon rose, he remembered what the elder said and he turned around and trotted home.

They had been together for 61 years and every year was better than the last!

She had a plan and she had a way out. Would she take it?

She wasn’t especially fast but she had confidence and a bit of an attitude. Turns out that was all she needed to win.

The people came. They listened. Then, they followed and they were glad they did.

She was in the shop window waiting for a new home. She prayed it would be a good one.
